The cash for clunkers money is going going and will soon be gone, so
if you your are interested in taking advantage of the program you

According
to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Federal
agency that administers the program dealers had submitted requests for
reimbursement for vouchers of up to $4,500 on 22,782 vehicles, for a
total of $96 million so far.
That means that in just the first
couple days of the program a total of 10 percent of the one billion
dollars allocated to scrapping clunkers has already been spent by the
Fed.
It appears that these funds could actually run out in a matter of weeks,” said U.S. Rep. Candice Miller.
“Having
this program last for only a few weeks would limit this program’s
potential and disenfranchise a number of consumers who wish to take
advantage of the program by turning in their inefficient vehicle for a
new, more fuel efficient model,” the Michigan Congresswomen wrote.
