The story behind this muddy video of a Bugatti Veyron being pulled out of a salt water marsh is pretty common.
It could happen to anybody with a $1.6 million super car in Texas.
The unnamed owner went to check out some high end property in Galveston, Texas when he was distracted by low flying pelican, which made him drop his cell phone, which caused him to gig for it at the same time that the car hot a muddy patch, and well the rest is youtube.com video history.
However, a few simple questions do arise:
1) Does a $1.6 million Bugatti not come with standard Bluetooth cellphone inter phase?
2) The car's spoiler was obviously deployed when it hit the water. Don't you have to be driving at like 125 mph for that spoiler to deploy, or is that part of the car's air brake system?
3) How bad can mud and salt water really be for a quad-turbo, 16-cylinder engine?
4) What exactly do you tell your insurance company and will they really believe the pelican tale?
