Wow---that was the reaction of many jaded journalist to the Jestsons like dashboard of the futuristic Tesla's family car the Model S at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.
Thinking of it as a giant iPhone touchscreen is perhaps the best way to describe the inter-phase between the driver and car.
But not only is the Tesla Model S unique inside, it also drop dead gorgeous from the outside...or at least that was the reaction of many Detroit Auto Show visitors who saw the car for the first time on public display this year.

Tesla says the all electric Model S is scheduled to go into production sometimes in the next two to three years with very similar battery technology to the the Tesla Roadster.
The car will come in several trim levels with a range of between 200 to 300 miles on a single charge, and will retail between $40K to $60K depending on available tax subsidies.
