Nissan says the EV Leaf will have a 100-mile range and get this…the car's navigation system will overlay the car's battery range on a map…so driver's will know exactly how far they can go on a charge.

Pricing for the Leaf will be announced in April but the company says that it will be competitively priced with similar sized yet more traditional internal combustion engined family cars.

Nissan expects to take up to 20,000 orders for the Leaf and the car will go on sale in Europe, Japan and America at the same time.
