Just because you spend big money on a car doesn’t mean that it’s trouble free. Case and point is today’s BMW recall announcement.

BWM has just announced a voluntary recall of some of its most expensive luxury and high end models and that include the ultra posh Rolls Royce Phantom.

To be exact, BMW is recalling 198,000 high end luxury cars built between the years 2002-2010 because of the possibility that the cars power brakes may fail making it difficult to stop the car.

The German car manufacturer says that a potential leak in the power-brake system could cause the system lose “power” brakes. Under this sort of “failure” circumstances the car’s brakes would still work but the car would be much more difficult to stop.

The recalled cars and models include:

  • 2002-2008 BMW 745i and Li, 750i and Li, 760i and Li
  • 2007-2008 BMW Alpina B7
  • 2004-2010 BMW 645i and 650i
  • 2004-2010 BMW 545i and 550i as well as the
  • 2003-2010 Rolls-Royce Phantom
