Video review: the fastest ever American station wagon takes on the highest city in the land

CTS-Vleadville

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is the fastest, most powerful production station wagon that you can buy in America today.

With a slightly modified 556 horsepower supercharged engine (straight out of the Chevy ZR1 Corvette) the Caddy CTS-V wagon will not only haul you and all of your stuff, but it will do it all day while shredding rear rubber, and putting a huge smile on your face.

But how does this super car station wagon stack up when the air it needs to leap expressways with a single bound gets thin…very thin?

At TFLcar.com we decided to find out. So to test America’s fastest ever station wagon, we took the CTS-V sport wagon on a road trip to Leadville, Colorado…which (at over 10,000 feet above sea level) also happens to be America’s highest city.

Would the monster Caddy wagon still burn rubber with the gentle push on the accelerator, or would the Colorado Mountains and almost two mile high elevations tame the supercharged beast?
