The 2013 V6 Ford Mustang and the 2013 Scion FR-S don’t compete directly.
The Mustang has 2 more cylinders, 105 more horses and weights about 700 more pounds.
However, in two important ways they compete: 1) Price and 2) the Fun to drive factor. In fact, we would not be surprised if drivers crossed shopped the two very different cars. Which of course begs the question….which one is better?
