Video Review: Is the 2012 Chrysler Convertible the only true four seater top down game in town?

The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible is no sports car. In other words….it doesn’t handle like a topless Mustang or Camaro or even Mini Cooper, but that’s not why you are buying this car. This is most certainly a cruising machine. And if you keep it on a straight road and tune in The Coffee Shop, or perhaps the Chill channel on the satellite radio…you certainly enjoy the ride.

And when they shoehorned Chrysler’s 283 horsepower V-6 Pentastar under the hood….you end up with a car that’s not only stylish but also fast. In fact…not only is the car fast but the retractable top will stow in 27 seconds (if you opt for the soft top) or 30 seconds (if you opt for the hardtop) according to Chrysler.

And that’s right you can get this car with either a soft top or for about $2000.00 dollars more a retractable hardtop. So now just try to name a true four passenger convertible (in any prices range) that can be had with either a soft or hard retractable top.

By the way: You can also get the Chrysler 200 Convertible with a four cylinder engine paired to a six speed automatic transmission. But I wouldn’t recommend it as 174 horsepower is just not enough to motivate a car that weighs over two tons…at least not with any sort of hustle and pep.
