The 2012 MINI Cooper S Coupe might just be the best handling and fastest MINI in the land but unlike the Golf R it is front wheel drive.
It also has a turbo charged engine but it has only two doors and it barely seats two so it certainly doesn’t compete with the Golf R….or does it.

hi, great review. Im in australia and we get the dsg shifter. If the manual golf r was doing 8 seconds to 60 mph, id never buy it… but fortunately we have dsg and with launch control it is around 5 sec. i really feel sorry for the vw fans in america.
Just remember. This is 8 seconds to 60 mph at more than 1 mile above sea level. This review was done in Colorado.
