The 2014 Subaru Forester and the 2014 Subaru Forester XT are now 4th generation cars.
This means that they have a strong and loyal following from a built-in customer base.
When a car has been around a long time and it still continues to sell well, most automakers dislike changing it very much. This is certainly the case with the new 2014 Forester. It has grown slightly bigger, but still carries on, both inside and outside, much of the design and engineering of the current model.
In this TFLcar First Drive Review, we see just how fast the XT turbo is 0-60 MPH.
Thanks to Subaru and Sean Maynard for providing some of the video footage for this review.
Editor’s note: The 2014 Subaru Forester is a vary important vehicle for Subaru. If you look back in the annals of automotive periodicals, you’ll find the Subaru Forester to be one of the most awarded vehicles in Subaru’s fleet. No other vehicle is as well received, nor does Subaru possess a bigger all-around seller.
I’ve found that the Subaru Forester is one of those rare vehicles that appeals to both men and women. Something rare for a mainstream family crossover. Hopefully, Subaru will keep the Forester’s essentials in tact with this new model.
Time will tell.

Hi guys,
Love your reviews! Any chance you could do a mile high mashup between the new 2014 Subaru Forester Turbo and the new 2014 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with the bigger engine? I live at 6000 feet and would love to see how they would match up at that elevation, especially now that the CX-5 has more horses. Thanks!!
I would also like to see the 2014 subaru forester vs the 2014 mazda cx-5!!!
You guys in the US are getting some great prices at $34,000 for a 2014 XT Turbo, we are getting screwed on these in Australia the Subaru Dealers here in Australia want $55,000 from us here, the best price I was able to get was $51,400
even though our dollar is nearly on par with yours, this really sucks!!!!
