Chrysler executives, employees, UAW reps and supplier partners applauded after the one-millionth Jeep Wrangler JK rolled off of the assembly line at Chrysler Group’s Toledo, Ohio Assembly Complex. The new JK is bound for a customer in Florida and represents a positive sign of economic growth.

The Jeep Wrangler JK is a vehicle that appeals to a certain kind of consumer. Buying a Jeep Wrangler JK is a sure sign that buyers are getting something they want rather than just a vehicle they need. Anyone can buy a car, but there’s something unique about a Jeep Wrangler JK buyer.

“Every Jeep Wrangler sold to customers around the world is born in Toledo, Ohio,” said Pino. “Since this facility opened eight years ago, the Toledo workforce has built every one of those million vehicles with pride, passion and a focus on quality. We all look forward to building the next million.” – – Chrysler Group LLC Media

Jeep Picture
Jeep has made a name for itself since 1941 and, as all of us at The Fast Lane Car are fans of one Jeep or another, we’re delighted with their success. It’s gratifying to see such an American icon is still being built in the United States. The production of Jeeps has a real history in Toledo: “Connected under one roof with the North Plant, where the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be built this year, the Toledo Assembly Complex’s Supplier Park began production of the Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited in 2006. Located on the same site as the former Stickney Plant, the complex includes body and chassis operations, produced in partnership with suppliers Kuka and Mobis, respectively.” – – Chrysler Group LLC Media

A hearty congratulations goes out to Jeep for building so many Jeep Wrangler JKs.
