You Can Wrap Your 2014 Ford Fiesta In Bacon

The Ford Motor Company has released a line of custom graphics for the 2014 Ford Fiesta that will let owners wrap their cars in bacon, proving there really isn’t anything that can’t be improved with the addition of the tastiest of pork products.

There are five different bacon treatments that owners can pick to trick out the Ford Fiesta with just the right amount of salty goodness. First, for those looking for something more subtle, there are the Bacon Mini Stripes or the slightly larger Side of Bacon.

Then there are the Full Bacon Stripes which declare your love of bacon at a higher volume while sportier bacon enthusiasts might want to choose the Bacon Racing Stripes. This will have two giant pieces of bacon running down the hood of the car.

And for those who are all-out, completely, obsessively crazed about bacon, there’s the Full Bacon Wrap which completely covers your car in strips of bacon. It turns your car into the Ford Fiesta Baconmobile and I’m not really sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

This celebration of bacon comes just in time for International Bacon Day this Saturday, August 31st. No, I didn’t know such a thing existed either, but there was someone at Ford who knew and saw this as the perfect opportunity to add bacon to their cars.

Unlike the stuff you’ll be frying up in a pan this weekend, this bacon is a bit on the pricey side. The Bacon Mini Stripes will set you back $78.75, which isn’t too bad, but the full bacon wrap is another story. It will run, brace yourself, $3,347 dollars and that doesn’t even include the cost of installation.

I’d like to consider myself a devout fan of bacon, but for $3,347 I could have the real thing everyday for a year. I think I’m going to stick with the kind I can fry.
