How do you top the new 460 hp Corvette Stingray Coupe?  You do it with the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.  This track focused Corvette will be unveiled in Detroit at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in January.  Chevrolet says “It will be the most track-capable Corvette ever, designed to deliver supercar levels of performance through unique powertrain, chassis and aerodynamic features.”  These are some strong claims, but we already have a glimpse at what these guys can do with the 2014 Camaro Z/28 (which goes on sale in Spring of 2014).

The 2015 Z06 will have to surpass the power level, track performance, and the Nurburgring time of the Z/28.  What do they mean by “unique powertrain”? Might it have a supercharged motor?  Twin turbos?

The 2014 Corvette is doing very well.  It sold 2,527 units in November, which is more than double the same month last year.  The Z06 is surely to continue the trend of high powered American performance.

TFLcar will be at the Detroit show and will bring you all the latest videos and information.
