According to Subaru regarding all-wheel drive (AWD) systems: “M/T AWD system Continuous All-Wheel Drive with viscous-coupling locking center differential and nominal 50:50 torque split; transfers more torque to wheels with best traction. A/T AWD system Variable Torque Distribution (VTD) with planetary gear-type center differential and an electronically controlled hydraulic transfer clutch, 45:55 nominal torque split; transfers more torque to wheels with best traction Transmission ratios 6-speed manual Sport Lineartronic 6 ratios (Intelligent and Sport modes) 8 ratios (Sport Sharp mode)”

The exterior is nearly all new. The only exterior components shared with the Impreza are the roof panel and deck-lid. Subaru is offering the 2015 Subaru WRX as a sedan only.

In this preview video, we show you the sights and sounds of the 2015 Subaru WRX. Our full review with driving impressions will be posted on Monday, December 16th.
