Honda CR-V had a solid December and was the number one seller in the segment after 303,904 examples left the showrooms in 2013. The Escape had significant growth in December (+21.5%), but could not match the CR-V. It takes a comfortable second place. Toyota RAV4 was third for December, but it came in fourth place for the year after the Chevrolet Equinox.
Take a look at the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee. It sold 15,038 units in December, which is a fifth place for the month. It outsold a host of competitors, including Nissan Rogue.
The new 2014 Subaru Forester saw the biggest monthly increase with 51.0% improvement. The Mazda CX-5 showed the largest YTD growth at 83.6%.
