AT&T Announces Pricing For 2015 Audi A3 In-Vehicle 4G LTE

AT&T has announced pricing and available data plans for the fist-ever in-vehicle 4G LTE connectivity in North America which will be found in the all-new 2015 Audi A3.

There will be two different plans, both with limited data, starting with a 6-month plan offering 5GB of data for $99. There will also be a 30-month plan which will give you 30GB of data for $499 providing more bang for your buck. Every 2015 Audi A3 purchased with Audi connect will also automatically come with a free 6-month trial.

The data plans offered were based on what existing 3G+ Audi connect customers are currently using and are representative of typical data usage in a vehicle. Much as with regular phone data charges, e-mail alerts can be sent when data usage is nearly at a plan’s limit.

Audi will also be the first automaker to allow drivers the ability to add their vehicle to their existing data plan beginning this summer. They will be rolling out 4G LTE to all their vehicles as current models are refreshed and new models are introduced.

The Audi A3 family will feature an advanced version of Audi connect that includes picture navigation, read-aloud news headlines, Facebook and Twitter alerts, access to over 7,000 Web radio stations and personalized RSS news feeds. There will also be a mobile app to allow connectivity between the MMI system and smartphones so drivers can keep their hands on the wheel instead of on their phones.
