2014 Cadillac ELR 0-60 MPH Review: A Chevy Volt By Another Name?

2014 Cadillac ELR

The 2014 Cadillac ELR is a hybrid vehicle that’s a true American luxury car and one of the most stylish cars in GM’s lineup. It’s capable of going up to 30 miles on electric power alone and not only is it beautiful on the outside, it’s beautiful on the inside with plenty of the luxury and style you’d expect from a vehicle that has a base price of $76,000.

It’s based on the Chevy Volt and puts out 207 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. That’s 58 more horsepower than what you’ll find in the Volt. We put the 2014 Cadillac ELR to the test with a 0-60 MPH first drive review to see how the high-end hybrid handles on the road.

Nicole Wakelin fell in love with cars as a teenager when she got to go for a ride in a Ferrari. It was red and it was fast and that was all that mattered. Game over. She considers things a bit more carefully now, but still has a weakness for fast, beautiful cars. Nicole also writes for NerdApproved and GeekMom.
