Bentley Hybrid Concept to Debut At Beijing Auto Show

Bentley Hybrid Concept

The Bentley Hybrid Concept is set to debut at the Beijing Auto Show on Sunday, April 20th highlighting the first-ever Bentley plug-in hybrid model.

Set to be available to the public beginning in 2017, the Bentley Hybrid Concept will be based on the Mulsanne and will be the introduction of a powertrain that will be gradually rolled out across the Bentley line. They expect to see 90% of their vehicles available with hybrid options by the end of the decade.

The Bentley Hybrid Concept will offer a power increase of up to 25% along with a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions. It will also feature a range of 50 km (31 miles) solely on electric power.

Copper accents are found throughout the Bentley Hybrid Concept as a nod to the vehicle’s electric roots. Outside, copper accents are found on the headlamps, radiator shell bezel, brake calipers, feature line details and badges. The typically lux Bentley interior has copper inserts on the hand-crafted veneers fascias, switch bezels and instruments as well as in the cross‑stitching to the Mulliner Driving Specification diamond-quilting.

The Bentley Hybrid Concept will be on display at the Beijing Auto Show along with the Flying Spur V8, the new Continental GT Speed, and Continental GT V8 S.
