Smoke ’em if you Got ’em with 2015 Ford Mustang GT – Line-Lock Feature

2015 ford mustang gt burn out tires

If you plan to purchase the 2015 Ford Mustang GT, then you need to budget extra for additional tires.  Yes, you can spin the rear tires in any new Mustang, but the V8-powered 2015 GT has an additional feature to make a huge burn-out as simple as buckling your seatbelt.  This feature is officially called “Line-Lock” and Ford will tell you that they designed it for drag strip racers who need to warm up their tires.  Certainly, Ford’s lawyers made sure that the press release be worded this way.  “Electronic line-lock along with standard launch control should help bracket racers achieve more consistent performance at the drag strip.”

Line-Lock is a unique feature which electronically disengages rear brakes and makes tire smoke easier than ever.  You need to engage the line-lock feature, step on the brake, and also hit the accelerator.  Final horsepower and torque numbers are not yet known for the 2015 Mustang, but be sure that there is more than enough power to turn the rears into dust.
