The Ford Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway

Exactly 50 years ago, the 1960’s car world caught its first glimpse at the ultimate in American muscle: the Ford Mustang. Conceived of as a bare-bones sports car for the everyman, the Ford Mustang has received convertible tops, superchargers, aerodynamics kits, and racing seats over the years, but its ability to deliver an impressive performance bargain hasn’t been compromised. To celebrate the continued success of the Mustang and the release of the all-new 2015 model, the Mustang Club of America threw a fantastic get-together at a place very dear to the Mustang’s heart — the racetrack.
