2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo Debuts With New Look, Two Transmission Choices

2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO

The 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo made its debut today at the annual ZDAYZ gathering of Nissan, Datsun and NISMO owners and enthusiasts showing off a new look inside and out, new wheels, and a new 7-speed automatic transmission.

Its new look is very GT-R-inspired with aerodynamic body pieces that improve its looks and optimize front and rear downforce. There’s a new deep front fascia with LED Hyper Daytime Running Lights, black headlight bezels, NISMO emblem and signature NISMO red stripe accent on the front chin spoiler. Red accents highlight redesigned side sills, the black-color sideview mirrors and the lower part of the rear fascia which has also been redesigned along with a new smaller rear spoiler. The standard 19-inch NISMO super-lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels now have a twin-five spoke design and a charcoal gray machine-finish.

The inside of the 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo gets new black-and-red Recaro leather-appointed seats with Alcantara accents that are exclusive to the 370Z NISMO. They’re specifically designed to give uniform body pressure and better all-direction holding during acceleration, braking and cornering. The new 370Z NISMO Tech model adds hard drive-based navigation with a 7″ touchsreen, RearView Monitor, Bose Audio System, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth, auto-dimming rearview mirror and HomeLink Universal Transceiver.

The 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO is powered by a 350-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with 276 lb-ft of torque paired to a choice of two transmissions. There’s a 6-speed manual with SynchroRev Match for synchronized downshift rev matching and a newly available 7-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching, Adaptive Shift Control, and manual shift mode with paddle shifters.
