2015 Honda Pilot to go on sale with a Special Edition model

Even though the Honda Pilot is due for a restyling, it remains a strong contender in the midsized SUV segment with updates to the 2015 model and the addition of the Special Edition trim level. The 2015 Honda Pilot Special Edition (SE) model falls between the current EX and the EX-L model. Honda says it will add more value with upgrades to styling, technology and convenience in addition to the features that Pilot owners have come to expect such as:

  • 8 passenger seating
  • EPA highway fuel economy (25 mpg )
  • 3.5 Liter i-VTEC V6 with 250 horsepower and Variable Cylinder Management
  • Available 4,500 lbs towing capacity
  • 5 speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control
  • VTM-4 Variable Torque Management 4WD system

The new 2015 Pilot SE model will provide features that include:

  • Sporty pewter gray aluminum alloy wheels
  • Unique SE badges
  • One-Touch-Open power sunroof with tilt
  • Sirius XM Radio
  • Honda DVD rear entertainment system

According to Honda – the Pilot SE is the go-anywhere, do-anything SUV for families with an active lifestyle. The 2015 Honda Pilot goes on sale today (June 3rd) and will have a base price of $29,870
