2015 Lexus RC F

What does the ‘F’ in 2015 Lexus RC F stand for? How about Fast, Fervent, and Fun?

You will not find a small displacement turbocharged engine under the hood of the RC F. It’s got a relatively large 5.0L V8 under the hood that makes 467 horsepower at a high revving 7,100 rpm and 389 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm. This healthy thrust is sent to the rear wheels via the 8-speed automatic transmission.

The RC F also drips luxury. You have supple leather and premium appointments. This does raise the weight a bit and this luxury sports coupe weighs 3,958 pounds. This weight can be felt in quick corners, but the available smart torque vectoring differential out back works wonders. The high-revving V8 is capable of great performance. Lexus claims 4.4 second 0-60 mph acceleration and a top track speed of 167 mph.

The ride is firm, but still comfortable on the streets. There is also satisfying V8 sound emanating from the quad exhaust pipes. The sound is amplified on the inside in performance mode to add to the excitement.

The RC F is rated at 16 MPG city and 25 MPG highway. It goes on sale now stating at $62,400.
