2015 Lexus RC F

Lexus is coming back to high performance with the 2015 Lexus RC F. This luxury sports coupe make no excuses. It’s got a snarling 5.0L V8 under the hood that makes 467 horsepower at a high revving 7,100 rpm and 389 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm. This healthy thrust is directed to the rear wheels via the sole 8-speed automatic transmission.

The RC F is rated at 16 MPG city and 25 MPG highway. It goes on sale now stating at $62,400.

2015_lexus_rc_f_red_racetrackLexus claims a 4.4 second 0-60 mph acceleration and a top track speed of 167 mph. It weighs in at 3,958 pounds, so how does it behave on the racetrack? Can it go toe-to-toe with the 2015 BMW M4? The M4 is about 400 pounds lighter and makes more torque from its turbocharged straight-six (406 lb-ft).

However, track performance is also about suspension setup, weight distribution, brakes, and tires. How does the RC F handle and perform?

Roman and Nathan wanted to find out by hitting the NOLA Sports Complex near New Orleans.
