2015 Jaguar XJL AWD

The 2015 Jaguar XJL 3.0 AWD is still a car to get noticed in. The XJ does not sell in great numbers, so you are unlikely to see yourself coming and going at the next intersection.

The 3.0-liter supercharged V6 is a great motor. It revs quickly and makes 340 horsepower @ 6,500 rpm and 332 lb-ft @ 3,500. It’s backed up by the 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy estimates are 16 MPG city, 24 MPG highway, and 19 MPG combined. This is surprisingly low for a lightweight sedan such as the XJL. Who can resist winding out this 3.0L V6?

The XJ is still one of the lightest luxury cruisers in its class. The long-wheelbase AWD model weighs in at 4,131 pounds at the curb. This may sound like a lot, but this is over 300 pounds lighter than the Audi A8L 3.0 Quattro. It’s nearly 400 pounds lighter than the BMW 740Li xDrive. Not bad a luxury laden car that’s over 17 feet long.

Interior ambiance is mostly inline with the competition from Germany. Although, it’s difficult to keep up with the likes of the new S-Class. The overall layout and design is simple and elegant. There is plentiful rear-seat legroom. The XJL has one of the longest wheelbases in the class.
