The first details of the new Toyota RND Concept were released ahead of its worldwide debut on January 26 in the U.K. Previewing a production-ready model, Toyota says the RND is a likely candidate for fast-track development that “should see it changing the face of motoring within weeks.”
Insisting that they are amidst a radical shift in direction of late, Toyota has been working to bring the “fun-to-drive” qualities of its cars to a higher level. The company says that manufacturing and product supply have been secured and on-the-road pricing has been fixed at a level that will make the RND Concept accessible to the widest possible market.
Serving as an ideal on which to base future driver-oriented vehicles, the Toyota RND Concept looks to be an exciting paradigm shift for the traditionally steady, calculated company. Although presented as a concept, the Toyota RND will be unveiled next week in its production-ready form.
According to Toyota,”This is something we are proud of and that will make a valuable contribution to the world we live in.” Whether or not the RND or any spin-off vehicles will be available worldwide is yet to be seen, so our fingers are definitely crossed!
