The 2015 Jeep Cherokee has an edgy all-wheel-drive mantra that sells big.  Jeep brand sales were up 23 percent in January 2015, particularly on strong demand for the Cherokee.  In fact, the compact CUV played a major role in lifting FCA to its best January since 2007.

Watch the TFL Quick Pics review on the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4X4 to find out if the sum of its parts justifies our tester’s nearly-$40,000.00 sticker.

Powered by a 271-HP 3.2-L Pentastar V6 mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, our 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4×4 returned a 22.5-MPG average in 400 miles of mixed city and highway driving. This compared favorably to its 19/26/22 city/highway/combined MPG rating.

As we’ve reported in the past, the Cherokee’s nine-speed automatic transmission can be confused at times, holding gears too long in low-speed cruising and fostering rough shift quality. Keep in mind, however, that a new Cherokee has a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and accordingly, FCA will have your back. To this former service advisor, it feels like something that will iron itself out in successive software updates.
