The 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country’s fifth-generation Haldex all-wheel-drive system works wonders on slippery surfaces.  What happens, though, when you install a set of studded tires, totally defeat the car’s stability control system, and point it at a frozen lake in Truckee, California?

Take a look at this TFLcar video showcasing the 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country in its cold, icy element:

Helping the 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country keep momentum is the brand’s familiar 250 HP, 2.5-L turbocharged five-cylinder which makes 266 lb-ft of torque at 1,800 rpm. All four wheels are fed via a six-speed automatic transmission. This setup allows for a combined EPA-rated number of 23 mpg.

Pricing for the 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country starts at $41,000, which includes a navigation system and a host of unique, cross-country-exclusive items.  These include: black fender extensions, 7.9-inches of ground clearance, skid plates, unique 18-inch wheels, side-sill scuff plates, unique honeycomb grill and black mirror caps. Fully loaded, the 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country can retail around $50,000.
