SCG003S – Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus

Are you getting tired of unthinkable hypercars that are coming out for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show? Well, you need to hunker down, because much more exotic machinery is still on the way. This Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003S is another example of what is possible when creativity and unlimited budget come together.

This car was inspired by the LMP1 endurance prototypes racecars, much like the 2017 Ford GT is translating the endurance racing technologies to the street.

The SCG stands for Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. And the “S” on the end is for “Stradale”, which means this car is meant to be street legal. It uses a carbon fiber chassis and body, but much of the specifications are unknown.

The team is also bringing a SCG003C full-out race car to Geneva. The “C” at the ends stands for “Competizione”. Naturally, horsepower, weight and other parameters are being carefully guarded as to not tip off the competition.

There is unofficial information that this car is using a twin-turbocharged Honda-based V6 motor. It’s unknown if this racing spec engine is in any way related to the one used for the 2016 Acura NSX.

Glickenhaus’ previous project was the P4/5 Ferrari-based prototype. Check out this TFLcar video featuring the Ferrari F40, a turbocharged super-car from another era.

And here is the introduction of the 2016 Acura NSX that also uses a twin-turbo V6 along with electric motors.
