2016 Hyundai Tucson prototype caught testing in California under light camouflage

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson crossover already broke cover when it made its debut at the Geneva Auto Show. That was the European version with engines and options focused on that market. We do not yet know many of the specifications of the American version.

However, TFLcar reader caught this tightly wrapped Tucson prototype testing in California. It has the same wheel design as the Geneva show crossover. The camouflage make it look somewhat bigger than what it may be in reality.

In these images, it’s hanging out with what looks like a prototype of the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and a Hyundai H350 commercial cargo van. The Sonata Hybrid is heading to the dealerships this spring. The Sonata Plug-In Hybrid is going on sale late in 2015, and we should hope the 2016 Tucson will not be too far behind.
