The 2016 Lexus RX crossover will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show

The all-new Lexus RX crossover will debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show with an angular and more aggressive style than the current model. See the teaser photo released by the company.

The new car will be presented at a press conference at 9:10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 1 and will be streamed live.

The RX is an important vehicle for Toyota’s luxury division. In 2014, Lexus sold 107,490 RX crossovers, and as of February, sales were up 14 percent for the year over the same time frame in 2014.

Lexus hasn’t released any technical information on the new, fourth-generation RX. Previous models have been based on Toyota’s ubiquitous K platform, also called the Camry platform, which underpins the Camry, Venza, Avalon, Highlander and Sienna for Toyota, and the ES and RX for Lexus.

TFLcar will be covering the New York Auto Show live, so stay tuned for updates.
