The second generation 2016 Chevy Volt is coming a dealership near you in the fall of 2015. GM is using the time to finish the testing as can be seen from these images high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

In fact, the 2016 Cadillac ELR is testing alongside the new Volt. The two share many components, and Cadillac recently announced a power increase and a price drop for the 2016 ELR. Cadillac does not disclose specific power output, but says the 2016 model will have 25% more power with a big acceleration improvement from 7.9 seconds 0-60 mph to 6.4 seconds.

The updated ELR will start at $58,495 after federal tax credits. This is a nearly $9,000 decrease.
