First the was the Audi Prologue Coupe, then came the Prologue Avant. The Audi Prologue Allroad concept is the latest installment in the design series to make the auto show circuit. The Allroad concept is coming to 2015 Shanghai Motor Show next week.

This design study is the largest, tallest, and most powerful. It’s about as long as a standard wheelbase Audi A8. It’s three inches taller than the Prologue Avant. Under the hood is a 4.0L turbocharged V8 that is teamed up with an electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The combination produces a mind-boggling 738 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Naturally, the power is sent to all four wheels, and the claimed 0-62 MPH acceleration time is a scant 3.5 seconds. You can charge this Allroad from the wall, making it a plug-in.

The interior is a luxurious environment for four. There are plethora of OLED screens, making sure that each of the four occupant have plenty information to look at. There are laser matrix headlight, night vision, and much much more.

Audi is working to bring many of the Prologue technologies and design elements to production. However, there is no word yet on when we will see a production version or what it will be. It could take form as the Audi A9 four-door coupe, next generation of A8, or A6 Allroad. These are just guesses, but you can expect the front-facia design to make its way to production without too many changes.
