The all-new, smaller 2016 Chevrolet Camaro debuted at a special event in Detroit today.
In the third episode of TFL Total Download, Roman Mica covers the unveiling of the sixth-generation Camaro, which will be available with a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine for the first time in the car’s history.
General Motors also said the new Camaro is more powerful than the outgoing model and will feature more engine choices. It also has been given a host of aluminum parts to save weight, such as the hood and front suspension components.
The Camaro also has a new V-6 engine that can run in four-cylinder mode for increased efficiency.
The previous-generation Camaro was the sales king among muscle cars until the new-for-2015 Ford Mustang took the lead shortly after its debut. The new Camaro is poised to compete with the Mustang, especially with the new turbo four, as the Mustang also got a turbocharged four-cylinder for 2015.
