2015 VW Golf Sportwagen

The 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen TDI had the honor to be our featured vehicle in our first extended, more detailed review video. Normally, TFLcar features fairly short reviews that cover the basics and add our personal take on each vehicle. Many viewers expressed a desire to see a more in-depth review of certain vehicles.

We decided to use the 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen TDI as our test subject. In the future, we will feature vehicles that are fun, unique, all-new, popular or a mixture of these qualities. Based on the performance potential, legendary efficiency and clever packaging, the 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen TDI was the logical candidate for this extended test.

Given our scheduling, including the challenging Motor Mountain USA (MMUSA) filming schedule, we will film a few extended reviews each month. The extended review includes:

  • Comprehensive performance evaluation on our test track: 0 to 60 mph, braking and a few laps on our road course.
  • An interior review: Seating comfort, cargo space and build quality are but a few items we cover.
  • Diving review: We combine the ride, handling and long distance comfort.
  • MPG test: This test is an approximately 100 mile test loop that begins and ends at a gas station. We use the car’s mpg computer and our own test equipment to determine actual (or, as close as we can get) mpg.
