The GMC Acadia was first introduced for the 2007 model year. It has been face-lifted for the 2013. Now, it appears that GMC is readying a complete replacement for the three-row crossover. There is very little information about the upcoming 2017 Acadia. Could it have GM’s new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6? It’s possible, but we do not know for sure.

Mike E. caught this prototype towing a sizable trailer up a grade in northern Arizona. There was a weight-ditributing hitch, so this trailer weight could be around 5,000 pounds. This is speculation, but the prototype was moving up the grade near the speed limit.

These images provide just a couple of extra clues as to what the taillights and headlights will look like. Also, the overall size and shape of the vehicle does not appear to be changed much.
