Motor Mountain Monday: Washington, the Road to Hart’s Pass and Slate Peak [Video]

Motor Mountain Monday - Washington

Fun times on the road to Hart’s Pass and onward to Slate Peak, the highest drivable road at over 7,300 feet in Washington state. The road to Slate Peak is drivable, but it isn’t paved. Once you leave the paved road, it is a slow twelve mile trek to Hart’s Pass on was once a narrow wagon trail leading up to an abandoned gold mine.

Of course the road trip to Slate Peak had some memorable moments. Before reaching their destination, Roman and Tommy have some fun in the dirt, experienced a minor suspension problem, and saw some spectacular scenery that will be forever etched in their memories. Anyone who makes it to Slate Peak will be treated to an amazing 360 degree view of the Northern Cascades and Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).

One of the best ways of experiencing America first hand is hitting the open road with the windows down. Or with the doors off when driving our 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock. The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA) team embarks upon an epic road trip this year by visiting the highest drivable roads of every state in the USA. Along the way Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme will visit locales less traveled and uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s favorite tourist destinations.

As an added element of adventure to make it a little more interesting and to involve our viewer audience, TFL Car has commissioned 50 commemorative silver belt buckles that represent each state in the US. Upon each visit to a state, a belt buckle will be hidden for future discovery. With each episode of MMUSA, the GPS coordinates will be announced so some lucky person will find it. We only ask that you send us a picture of yourself with the belt buckle. Use the hashtag #MMUSA or #MotorMountainUSA, then you can tweet to us @TFLcar, Facebook us at TFLcar, email to roman@tflcar.com, or all of the above.

The Washington belt buckle and Motor Mountain t-shirt are hidden close to the observation tower at the top of Slate Peak. Watch this week’s Motor Mountain USA video to find the exact location of the hidden prize.
