Vail Automotive Classic hosts their sixth annual show of cars, aircraft, and motorcycles at the Vail Valley Jet Center. Claiming to be Western Colorado’s biggest car show, Vail Wheels and Wings Festival has grown to host a wide selection of classic cars, vintage motorcycles, a variety of aircraft, and two aerobatics shows.

Following the Wheels and Wings show is the Vail Automotive Classic Auto Auction held in one of the hangars. Lots of great finds, including a restored 1968 Jeep Wagoneer. The Jeep Wagoneer has seen an increase in popularity of late and more often people want to preserve and restore this original luxury SUV that was in production before the Range Rover by a decade. It would be interesting to see if the Wagoneer claims a winning bid that would make the seller more than happy.

TFL Car and Roman visit the extravaganza of amazing machinery and immediately zeros in on a unique VW Bus with a VW Beetle canopy. Watch this video to learn the story of how and why a ’55 Beetle is attached to a ’67 VW Bus.
