Jaguar F-PACE breaks Guinness World Record

The wait is over and Jaguar formally announces the specs of its first luxury performance SUV and demonstrates its power by breaking the Guinness World Record for largest loop-the-loop. The all-new 2016 Jaguar F-PACE boasts a supercharged 380 horsepower V6 capable of propelling it from zero to sixty in 5.1 seconds. All-wheel drive traction is enhanced by Jaguar’s Adaptive Surface Response system.

Dubbed as a practical sports car, the F-PACE withstood 6.5G to finish the 62 foot (19.08 meters) giant loop. Pro stunt driver Terry Grant prepared by intensely training for two months at the same level Air Force pilots and astronauts. Planning the course and structure was even more intense. Precise physics, angles, speeds and dimensions were calculated and analyzed by expert structural engineers, mathematicians and safety experts.

The Jaguar F-PACE is now officially open for orders with a starting price of $42,390. Three engine choices exist: 180 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel, 340 horsepower supercharged 3.0-liter V6, and a range topping 380 horsepower supercharged V6. All F-PACE crossovers will have all-wheel drive and an 8-speed transmission. The new F-PACE will arrive in dealerships starting Spring 2016.
