Ahead of a possible world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show (IAA) is the 2016 Toyota Prius making a grand entrance at a special event in Las Vegas on the evening of September 8. Toyota will be streaming the fourth-generation Prius’s big party at 9 pm (PDT) to the world. Just click on the following link to watch the event streaming live to your computer or mobile device.

If you can’t join the party online, TFL Car will be at the Las Vegas reveal party and capturing the festivities on camera. Expect TFL Car video coverage to be much better than the 2016 Prius spy shots that can be found on the Internet. A link to the video will be posted at the bottom of this article soon after the party on the same night.

Why is the redesigned Toyota Prius important?

The new Prius is the first model to be based on a lightweight modular platform known as the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), which will be the underpinnings for most of the Japanese automaker’s next-generation passenger car lineup. Styling of the new Prius is influenced by Toyota’s Keen Look and Under Priority design language where the key theme is a cross-shaped front that have the top and bottom parts separated. The rear half of the car has a split C-pillar similar to the new 2016 Lexus RX and other models that have a “floating” roofline. Additional design elements are also shared with the Mirai, Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cell car.
