Can anything stop the red-hot sales of crossovers in the United States? It does not appear so. September shows more clear proof that tallish, all-wheel-drive, crossovers (aka. wagons) are all the rage right now.
Just take a look at the September sales data below. Huge double-digit growth is just par for the course for the compact, full-size, and sub-compact crossovers.
The Honda CR-V is still the crossover sales leader, but the Ford Escape is not far behind. The Nissan Rogue is the best improved among the compact crossovers, but the competition is fierce. The Jeep Cherokee is not far behind with an improvement of 38.0% over September of last year.
