Jaguar is ready to bring two brand new vehicles to North America — the 2017 XE sedan and F-PACE crossover. They may share the same Premium Lightweight Architecture aluminum chassis, but they are polar opposites in terms of form and function.

Below is a walk around video of the new offerings from Jaguar.

The Jaguar XE – an all-new sedan for the British carmaker – is full of advanced technology, starting with an aluminum platform designed to be light, stiff and aid fuel economy. Powertrains include a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel, 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine, and the same 340 horsepower supercharged V6 used in the F-TYPE. An 8-speed automatic will be offered initially and a manual will appear afterwards. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.

Look for the new Jaguar XE to go on sale early 2016 with prices starting at $34,900. Stiff competition comes from the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Audi A4, Lexus IS, Infiniti Q50.

Based on the C-X17 concept, the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE is the first high-performance crossover SUV from the iconic British car company. The F-PACE combines sports car performance of a Jaguar with more space and family-friendly features.

The body is an aluminum monocoque with magnesium cross-car beam for a high degree of lateral stiffness. At the front is a double wishbone suspension; the rear is setup with an integral multilink suspension. The configuration is modified for off-road duty, with strengthened lower arms and bonded bushings to keep out dust and dirt, but promises class-leading agility and turn-in.
