What is the highest drivable mountain in Connecticut? It is a thoroughly forested area of the Bald Mountain near the town of Norfolk. The #MMUSA crew reached an elevation of 1,616 feet above sea level after some searching. This is not to be confused with the highest elevation in the state. That designation goes to the southern slope of Mount Frissell. However, the top of Mount Frissell is in Massachusetts and this areas is not accessible by vehicle.

The towns and cities on Connecticut are loaded with history, architecture, and monuments. Nathan and Andre took in as much of the local surroundings as possible within the short time allowed by the crazy #MMUSA schedule.

The top of the Bald Mountain was free of any traffic and a little spooky.

One of the best ways of experiencing America first hand is hitting the open road with the windows and top down in the 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock. The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA) team embarks upon an epic road trip by visiting the highest drivable roads of every state in the USA. Along the way Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme will visit locales less traveled and uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s favorite tourist destinations.

The Connecticut belt buckle is hidden at the Bald Mountain summit. Watch the episode below to see the whole adventure and the precise location of the buckle.
