Nissan Winter Warrior Trio Ready for Next Snowmageddon [News]

Nissan came prepared this winter for the Chicago Auto Show by bringing a trio of crossovers equipped with heavy-duty snow tracks. Three custom “Winter Warrior” crossovers, the Murano, Rogue and Pathfinder feature custom heavy-duty track systems with custom matte-black finish frames.

The DOMINATOR® Tracks, from American Track Truck, Inc., are 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 15 inches wide and replace the vehicles’ wheels and tires. The suspensions and wheel wells were modified to fit the snow tracks, but otherwise all drivetrain components, including the engines and Xtronic transmissions, are factory fresh.

“With their solid Nissan underpinnings and exceptional ground clearance, these Winter Warriors are serious, extreme weather machines, not toys,” said Meunier. “But, they sure are fun – just like our entire lineup of family adventure-ready Pathfinders, Muranos and Rogues that you can drive straight off the showroom floor.”

Nissan Design America (NDA) created identical, custom matte red-chrome body wraps featuring a unique “track” design and Nissan “Winter Warrior” signage. Genuine Nissan accessories that make these concepts even more capable in blizzard-like conditions include cargo area protectors, floor mats, roof rails, rear bumper protectors. However, the best added accessory might just be the 9×9-foot hatch tents perfect for winter camping.

The Winter Warrior Murano, Rogue, and Pathfinder can be seen at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show February 13 – 21, but not at dealerships any time soon.

Roman gets to drive the Nissan Murano Warrior…well, sort of.
