Hellcat VS. Jaguar F-Type R: Cat VS. Cat – Ep. 5 [Video]

This time on Hellcat VS we get to see how the 707 horsepower Challenger performs against England’s most awarded sports coupe. While these two cars share a very similar formula, such as their supercharged V8 engines and the angry looking cat badges that sit on both cars, there is also plenty that separates the Jaguar from the Dodge.

To start, the Hellcat has a whopping 150 horsepower advantage over the Jaguar’s 550 horses. But while the Jaguar has less power, it does have the ability to put all 550 horses to the ground thanks to its new AWD platform. Where previously this F-Type would gladly shred a set of its massive rear tires in a matter of minutes, it can now fully utilize all of its power to rocket the car to 60 mph in as little as 3.4 seconds down at sea level. The Jag can do a quarter mile in 11.7 seconds as well if you are down where the air is rich with oxygen. The Hellcat, which is practically built to go fast in a straight line, is said to hit 60 in 3.6 seconds and reach a 1/4 mile in 11.9 seconds. The advantage looks to be ever so slightly in favor of the Jaguar, but up here at altitude, it is anybody’s guess how each car will really perform.

In order to see which recipe results in the most success, we decided to settle the dispute in the usual way for the Hellcat, a drag race. Which cat will win? Will it be the not-so-plucky Brit, or the all-American muscle machine that wins this classic muscle car test? Check out this week’s episode of Hellcat VS to find out:
