The 124 Spider is a modern interpretation on the classic roadster by Fiat. It shares its chassis and some interior components with the Mazda MX-5 Miata, but Fiat spent a long time tuning the chassis and how the turbocharged engine mates to the car.

Everybody knows the Mazda MX-5 Miata, and the latest generation of car carries on the tradition of the small and fun-to-drive roadster. The Miata is powered by Mazda’s 2.0-liter SKYACTIV engine that is naturally aspirated, but nonetheless fun to drive.

Finally, the VW Beetle Convertible is another choice for taking four people out for topless fun. This one is powered by a torquey 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and offers more room and comfort for the rear seat passengers than the MINI Convertible.
