Buyers looking for a new 2017 Toyota Camry won’t see a price increase but will see some new features added on certain trim levels.

All trim levels have the same pricing as 2016 with the base LE starting at $23,070 all the way up to the top-of-the-line XSE V6 at $31,370. Hybrids range from $26,790 for the LE to $30,140 for the XLE.

Although the LE will come equipped with the same standard features as 2016, the SE, XLE and XSE will see some added features.

For the XLE and XSE levels, Toyota is equipping them with its standard Entune Audio Plus multimedia system that features Connected Navigation App and JBL Audio. The XLE, XSE four-cylinder and XLE Hybrid will now come standard with Qi Wireless Smartphone Charging for phones that can support wireless charging.

Also available on the SE and XSE trim levels is the Blue Streak Metallic color, which Toyota previously only offered on the 2016 Camry Special Edition.

The base engine for all non-hybrid Camrys is a 2.5-liter four cylinder that produces 178 horsepower, while the optional 3.5-liter V6 engine makes 268 horsepower. The hybrid comes with 200 horsepower powertrain.

Both the 2.5-liter four cylinder and the V6 come with a six speed automatic transmission. The four cylinder has a fuel efficiency of 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The fuel mileage change from the four cylinder to the V6 isn’t much of a difference, with the V6 getting 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The hybrid offers a 42 mpg city, 38 highway and 40 combined fuel efficiency, and is available in the LE, XLE and SE trim levels. The hybrid’s performance also ranks between the four cylinder and the V6 and can accelerate from zero to 60 in 7.6 seconds and produces 200 pound feet of torque.

The XLE and XSE trim levels offer blind spot monitoring and rear traffic detection features designed to assist drivers. The XLE has an additional driver safety package, which includes such features as automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, emergency assistance button and roadside assistance. Toyota offers that subscription package free for a year for drivers to try out.

As a way to store additional energy, the hybrids come with a regenerative braking system, which captures kinetic energy from the wheels when a driver brakes and then stores it in the hybrid battery pack. A driver can also turn on the ECO mode on their hybrids, which optimizes throttle response and air conditioning to make the vehicle even more fuel efficient.

All Camrys come equipped with 10 standard airbags throughout the cabin and driver assist technologies. A carryover from 2016, the Camry will also have automatic emergency braking, cruise control, lane departure alert and other features.
