Searching for a car with the best automatic transmission just got easier.
TFLcar’s Roman Mica and Nathan Adlen went through all the cars they’ve driven to compile a list of the four best automatic transmissions and one bonus pick. The four best are all foreign-made cars, while the bonus is an American made vehicle.
Mica and Adlen took a lot of factors into consideration when devising the top four picks. The automatic transmissions they rated included regular transmissions, CVTs, and dual clutch transmissions. And, all are available for sale in North America.
The top four and bonus that made the list did so based on numerous factors including responsiveness, comfort, peppiness, noise and how fun is the car to drive.
