TFLcar Today: Top 5 Cars, Trucks and Highlights from SEMA 2016 [Video]

What were some of the best parts of the SEMA auto show? Was it the cars, the trucks or both?

The TFL team did a wrap up of their top five picks, showing some of the highlights from last week’s event.

At the top of their list was the GM reveal. GM had the Chevrolet Silverado Alaskan, the Hurley Colorado and numerous Camaros. The Alaskan looks like a snow plow truck and comes equipped with a ton of power to remove snow and other debris.

The Alaskan produces 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque is the most powerful Silverado GM has made to date. GM said it will be available for sale soon.

Another highlight to make the list was the unveiling of the Hyundai Elantra Sport. The vehicle comes with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai is intending for the vehicle to be an every day car so it also equipped it with features to make it not only sporty but comfortable as well. Hyundai also unveiled its Ioniq, their hybrid vehicle.

Also making the list was the carbon fiber Mustang, which so many people thought was just a wrap around the vehicle. However, Ford and SpeedKore replaced each panel with carbon fiber, making that Mustang 500 pounds lighter, which improves fuel economy and handling. That vehicle is priced around $150,000.
