DROP THE HAMMER IN A CAMARO

Thanks to the Hagerty Driving Experience, some lucky teenagers in Golden, Colorado learned the joys of working a manual transmission. But they didn’t burn the clutch in a 1993 Toyota Corolla. No, they jumped into a 1969 Chevy Camaro SS with a V8 and 4-speed manual and headed onto a closed road course. Hagerty, a classic car group, came up with idea to teach the next generation how to drive antique cars. As the group sees it, the population with the skills to drive a manual slowly shrinks every year due to the fact that the percentage of new vehicles outfitted with a sticks is in the single-digits. And that could make their vintage wheels less valuable in the future.
